7 MOST CRAZY PLACES ON EARTH - 1
Scary places are a hit when it comes to sightseeing. The Haunted House Association in the US are making a profit of $500 million from haunted house ticket sales. The visitors are till today having a horrified but safe experience. The places specified here are not like the ones in an amusement park. They are really scary places on this planet. These places are honestly, inadvertently freaky, frightening and mysterious.
1.CHERNOBYL AMUSEMENT PARK :
PRIPYAT, UKRAINE.
This Chernobyl Amusement Park, is in the haunted town of Pripyat, Ukraine. The reason for this park to be abandoned is due to the 1986 Nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The whole city was evacuated and the theme park was deserted. But UK's Lupine Travel and Ukraine's Solo East Travel conduct tours to Chernobyl and its park.
2. SEKLEC OSSUARY:
CZECH REPUBLIC.
The SEDLEC OSSUARY is a very small Roman Catholic Chapel in Sedlec, Czech Republic. It is decorated with 40,000 human beings skeletons in a very artistically designed manner. The most attractive of it is the Chandelier in the center of the room and the coat of arms of the Schwarzenbergs ( the blue-blooded of Bohemian aristocrats) on the left. Dont have any wild imagination about the human bones. The reason behind this artifact is it was just done to save space.
These bones were donated by Roman Catholics through out Europe who wanted to be buried in Abbot of Sedlec went on a Pilgrimage to Jerusalem in 1278 and brought back soil from Golgotha where Jesus had been supposedly crucified. So many wanted to be buried in the chapel and it ultimately was over flowing. It was rearranged in the early 16th century and designed to occupy a compact place.
3. AOKIGAHARA FOREST:
MOUNT FUJI, JAPAN.
Found at the foot of the Fuji Mount in Japan, this is a thick wooded forest called as the "SEA OF TREES" and also called as the "SUICIDE FOREST". About 54 of them committed suicide in the dense forest in 2010 alone. The thickness of the forest prevented recovery of the bodies. It has become a place for those who want to take their lives. The magnetic quality of the soil prevents the proper functioning of the compass, and the whole place is absolutely quite. It is also that the forest is haunted by angry Japanese spirits.
4. AKODESSEWA FETISH MARKET:
LOME, TOGO.
Situated in Lome, Togo - Akodessewa Fetish Market is the biggest of its kind. It is asylum for the "VOODOO Practitioners". Crocodile heads, chimpanzee hands, cobra and other bones are used as talismans in voodoo healing. The bone parts are sold as ingredients which are powered and mixed with herbs and cooked over fire. The ashes or black powder that is got from this preparation is applied on the cut on the patients chest. This is said to cure them. This makes it a giant medical shop but it is makes us very uncomfortable to walk along the shops which has piles of heads of cheetahs, hyenas or even some times we can see vaguely humanoid skulls lying down like melons in a grocers shop.
