THE WORLD'S BEST NEW UNIVERSITIES 2013:-
Times Higher Education, a London magazine that covers higher
education, publishes a list each year of what it deems to be the best universities in
the world, based on criteria that emphasize global scholarship and reputation.
This is the second year 'THE' has put out a list of the top 100 schools that are
less than 50 years old. Read on for the top ten new universities:
South Korea
Student body: 3,300
Tuition: $5,400
2. ÉCOLE POLYTECHNIQUE FÉDÉRALE DE LAUSANNE
Switzerland
Student body: 8,500
Tuition: $2,700
3. KOREA ADVANCED INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KAIST)
South Korea
Student body: 10,250
Tuition: $3,000 for undergraduates.
Tuition for all freshmen is free. Students with a grade
point average above 3.0 continue to get free tuition. Those with a GPA between
2.0 and 3.0 pay $1,465.
5. UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE

6. MAASTRICHT UNIVERSITY

Tuition for international students outside the EEA (European
Economic Area): $11,400-$12,700 depending on degree
