1.THE TAHOE RIM TRAIL, MOUNTAIN BIKE - CALIFORNIA, NEVADA.

     Surrounding the biggest Alpine Lake in North America, the Tahoe Rim Trail which is 165 miles long single track is the has the most beautiful view in America. Almost half of the trail is open to mountain bikes. The International Mountain Bicycling Association -IMBA, has named a 21.8 mile section between TAHOE MEADOWS AND SPOONER SUMMIT as one of its EPIC. 


2.SKI SILVERTON MOUNTAIN, COLORADO.

     Found in the far-flung southwestern corner of Colorado, a seven-hour drive from Denver, SILVERTON has nearly 1,800 acres of cliffs, chutes and bowls.The low-speed, two-person chairlift, old laundry trucks used to shuttle, wooden-stoves and all remind us about - SKIING! Here the basic run tops out at about 35 degree in pitch. 


3.RACE THE LEADVILLE TRAIL, COLORADO.

    Leadville has always been the hotbed of the core moxie mountain biking race scene. The course gains 12,612 vertical feet,with many heart-busting 3,000 foot climbs and a high point of nearly 13,000 feet. At this height it not only becomes difficult to breathe, but the legs to become dead and lethargic.


4. BACK COUNTRY SKI, THE TENTH MOUNTAIN DIVISIONS HUT, COLORADO.

     This place was formed as a result of one man's- (Fritz Benedict) insane idea to create a system of winter huts to rival the Alps' Haute Route. It worked out wonderfully and outdid the Europeans. Even today the system located between Aspen, Vail and leadville, is 14 + 17 huts all connected with 300 plus miles of skiable routes. This is the largest system of its kind in the continent.


5.BAG FOURTEENERS IN THE WEMINUCHE WILDERNESS, COLORADO.

     The serendipitous and famous sightseeing train, the DURANGO & SILVERTON narrow gauge railroad is the only means of accessing the WEMINUCHE WILDERNESS in the San Juan Mountains of the southwest Colorado.The notable Needle Mountains  are - Mt Eolus, Sunlight Peak and Window Peak.
