The gargantuan "NEW CENTURY GLOBAL CENTER" was inaugurated last month in the southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu. It took 3 years to complete the construction. It is 500 m long, 400 m wide & 100 m high. It has a ground space of 19 million square feet. This out beats the previous record holder - Dubai Airport.

This shows that Chine is growing. When compared to the south & eastern parts of it, western side of China was very slow in its economic growth. Now with the unveiling of this Biggest building in the world it will boom the western parts of Chine too.
THE BEACH:-It is been created artificially with a 150/40 m LED screen showing videos of various horizons. It can hold up-to 6,000 people (in the beach alone) at a time who can enjoy the waves, cocktails and sea food.

It will house two Five Star Hotels and an imitation of a Mediterranean town under faux blue skies. It will also house 14 movie theaters.
ON MORE ADD ON:-
Adjacent to the New Century Global Center is the New Century Contemporary Art Center, which is 180,000 sq m. This is under construction. It has been designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Once it is completed it will have a 12,000 sq m exhibition hall, 2,000 - seat capacity Grand Theater, Music Hall, 8,000 sq m multi-functional meeting room, and 30,000 sq m Art Gallery. A new airport and subway line for the area are aimed and will be completed by 2020.
